Rarely does a pair of this extraordinary design and quality come on the market!   The craftsmanship is superb!   Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates diamonds.   Paste was used extensively during the 18th and 19th century by Europe's finest craftsmen.   Their jewelry survives until today because of their great work.

These kinds of earrings were worn in the evening by a lady of means who chose not to wear her diamonds.  A court lady would have both a fine diamond and paste collection.  Candlelight would enhance the brilliance of the stones  Fabulous pair!
