Pair of Chinese Export Cobalt Blue Glass Hand-Blown & Hand-Etched Table Lamps

Pair of Antique Hand-Etched  Cobalt Blue Glass Lamps With Wood          Circa. 1890-1900                                 China

These absolutely fabulous lamps were made for Chinese Export to the West during the very early 1900's    Hand-blown cobalt blue glass with hand-etched cherry blossom branches   Hand-carved wood wood caps and bottom bases.  The lamps are wired with a circular wire switch and a pull chain on each of the two bulbs per lamp

There are two minor condition issues.   One is a repair made many years ago to one wood bottom base  (see photo)   The repair work is hardly noticeable today   The second issue is that  one finial was repaired years ago and the iron repair work left the screw-on off center.   Otherwise, the pair are in excellent to pristine condition

The lamps measure 29 inches in height to top of finials    25 inches high to top of shades.  The weight of each lamp is 7.1 pounds   The cobalt blue glass is 5 inches in diameter   Each shade is 9 inches in height and 12 inches wide at bottom   The hand carved  round wood  base measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter

They make wonderful end-table lamps for the bedroom    Also work beautifully  on a commode in the living room or entranceway   They are super rare, and have been in the possession of one family here in New York since the early 1930's

We have taken photos in natural light as well as enhanced light to help show the hand etching on the glass   The lamps are very difficult to photograph    Must be seen in person!

In excellent condition
