Antique Gutta Percha Locket

Antique Gutta Percha Locket   Circa. 1890-1900   European   Black gutta percha oval locket with lady's profile - beautifully executed.  Front is matte black and the back is polished black.   The locket measures 21/4 inches high with round metal bale  and 1 1/2 inches wide.  Holds two oval photos measuring 1 1/2 inches high x 1 1/4 inches wide.  21.4 gr.   13.7 dwt   .     There is slight damage  ( a small piece of gutta percha is missing from the hinge side of the locket)    It is completely unnoticeable when the locket is worn    Clasp and hinge work perfectly  We are offering it on a ribbon.
