Antique Small Silver & 300+ Paste Brilliant Picture Frame

Antique Small Paste Frame        Circa. 1890         France

One of the most exquisite items!   The craftsmanship is truly amazing.....so is the design!    A rather small picture frame from France during the end of the 19th Century.   The frame measures only 3 inches in height and 3 1/4 inches wide.   Will take a photo approximately 2 1/2 inches high and 3 inches wide.  We reconstructed the back of the frame due to its condition.   

The frame has over 300 paste brilliants, all hand-set in silver!    Only 4 pairs of these paste brilliants are of color, the rest are clear paste.   The colored paste stones greatly resemble semi-precious colored stones.

Includes photo lens instead of glass (too heavy and thick)     

This is a frame to treasure and should be a source of constant pleasure!
