Antique Gunmetal Chatelaine Mesh Purse/Necklace. Circa. 1890-1900. France
Wonderful antique chatelaine small purse necklace. Gunmetal with five bottom dangles suspended from a 35 inch gunmetal chain, no clasp, just slipped over wearers’ head. Can be worn long or with chain wrapped around the neck. The chain has five gunmetal stations. Purse is marked on inside “real gunmetal – France” and also has a hanging tab maker’s mark “FB France”. See photos. Chain has a removable dog clip so the purse can be carried separately from the chain.
Chain is 35 inches long. The purse measures 3 1/4 inches high and 2 3/4 inches wide. Total weight of the necklace is 59.3 g. 38.2 dwt

Beautiful piece! Matches photo perfectly. Seems very high quality, the necklace had some wear and tear but it is a vintage piece so this is to be expected

I love my antique Victorian brooch it looks exactly like it was pictured it is well made the item matched the description just the back pin is a little loose probably because it is old but very beautiful brooch I am happy with it.
